What To Do When You’re BORED in Summer + DIY Ideas you NEED to try!
Weight can be a little more difficult when you’re a teenager. Long nights. Peer pressure. Lack of parental knowledge. Fear of looking uncool. It’s much harder to eat like a teenager than as an adult.
Fortunately, there are still many things teens can do to eat healthier.
5 Nutrition Tips For Teens
Have your breakfast
After a long night of studying, there is hardly any time to get out of bed, brush your hair and teeth, and get to school on time. But breakfast is probably the most important meal of the day. A good breakfast keeps you from eating too late in the day. If you don’t have time to sit down and eat at home, at least have something like a banana you can eat on the way.
Bring your own lunch
Who knows what’s included in the lunches they hand out at school. Even things that seem healthy sometimes aren’t, and there are a lot of unhealthy foods during lunchtime at school these days. If you bring your own lunch, you have more control over the food you eat. You can be sure that everything that goes into your body is healthy.
There is no lemonade
If you want to lose weight, you have to lose lemonade. It’s almost always a bad idea to drink the calories, and the calories in the soda only come from sugar. If you need your soda, switch to the diet. (In fact, many people report that they lose weight effortlessly after eliminating soda from their diet. Try it! You’ll be surprised!)
Make a good choice at a restaurant
It’s one of the many ways to go out with friends in restaurants that teenagers love to use. But you should stay away from fried foods and sugary desserts. Instead, order a salad (with dressing on the side), fresh fruit, or another low-calorie dish. If you have a restaurant that you go to often, look at its online menu and plan your choices ahead of time. If you like sweet things, order something you want to share with a friend. Don’t eat all these calories alone.
Help with shopping or cooking
Your parents may be too busy to cook a super healthy meal, but it’s not a meal you can’t cook! If you offer to help with the shopping or cooking, you’ll have a little more control over what’s on the table. The more healthy food you can eat, the better.
Let’s hope that with these tips you are on your way to a healthier life!
