Unhas Decoradas para Noivas Manual Bela e Simples
It’s hard work for licensed nail technicians to create incredible acrylic nail designs day in and day out. Sometimes it goes so far that you feel like you’ve seen it all and done it all a thousand times before. However, as a professional nail technician, your job is to think and work fast, which can be difficult when what you do involves a creative process. One of the most challenging aspects of this business is that new nails are not new for long. Customers are tired of looking at their nails quickly.
There is another aspect of creating killer nail designs, and that is time. Working with acrylic takes time, and there’s no way around it.
It often happens that you create an amazing nail design and have the client come back for a filling after a few weeks. Now what? She’s tired of the blue-violet design and wants to have the pink and white. UMM omg! Do you mean you want me to take out all the acrylic and start again? In an hour?! Of course, she wants that, she doesn’t know how long it will take.
Try a compromise where instead of removing all the product, you can make a transition. A transition is a process or a journey back to pink and white over time. Explain to your client that they can change it to pink and white in the course of 2-3 refills, or that they can remove their nails now and switch to a new full set. Most clients will appreciate this option, especially if a transition filling costs about $22-$40 and removal plus a new set costs $45-$75.
I’ve seen too many “professional” nail technicians afraid to offer a transition as an option because they fear to lose a client if they don’t get what they want. It’s up to you to offer solutions, but don’t forget that your time is valuable and must be billed. Believe me, you will end up with a serious burn, carpal tunnel, and tendinitis! So do yourself a favor and get really good at transitioning nail designs!
So how do you transfer a nail design?
First, use an electric file with a coarse drill or a coarse-grained hand file to remove the loose acrylic products from the cuticle line. Then you scrape off the remaining acrylic until the gloss is gone. The acrylic bonds to the acrylic when it is roughened.
Second, thin the growth of the smile line ONLY with a thick file.
Third, fill in the cuticle area with the same acrylic you used before.
Fourth, place a clear acrylic ball with an iridescent sheen in the valley you have created. Add both sides of the acrylic mixture to the color of the nail bed and over the remaining blue acrylic to create a fading effect. By placing a mixture of clear acrylic and coarse gloss between the nail bed color and the blue acrylic design, you can mix the two different colors during this transition period.
Most clients are so excited about the change that they forget about these pink and white colors and look forward to their next appointment to fill in the acrylic design. You are happy, your client is happy and you haven’t killed yourself trying to do the impossible.
